Sanford B. Saltsman

Stanford came to Panola Township, from New York in 1856 at the age of seventeen. He was born on March 8, 1839 and passed away on November 16, 1876. He served in the Civil War, serving in Company “G”, of the 4th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry. Sanford B. Saltsman is buried in the Harper Cemetery.

Sanford’s Father and Mother was, Henry Saltsman, Born April 18, 1808, in Montgomery County, New York, He Died sometime after 1878. Henry Married Polly Carpenter on September 9, 1832, in Dryden, Tompkins County, New York. Polly carpenter was born on March 8, 1813. Passed away after 1878.
